Endemic to the midwestern US, this might not be familiar to non-Americans.

Local dish called "gudeg" which is a sweet dish made from not-yet-ripe used-as-a-vegetable jack fruit cooked in coconut milk and chilli. If it ripens, jack fruit is a fibrous and flavoursome fruit.
