True about both writers, but Salinger managed with his single hit (Catcher in the Rye) capture a generation of readers. He refused to sell the film rights because "...Holden Caulfield would not approve."

That's good of you. I read books in Swedish, except for the occasional book in English. When I was younger, it didn't matter so much but now, I lose the story if I don't understand every word - it depends on the book, of course. 'Falling man', about 9/11, would be fine in English too.

Ah ein Brecht Liebhaber. Ein sehr starkes Buch, nicht wahr?

I read Frank Schätzing: Limit (german). Another Science Fiction, written in 2009 and playig out in 2024. So I have a lot of things which I can test against reality 😉
