I imagine him as a slender and rather short fellow with a pointy nose, dark hair, short bristly moustache which he is central to most of his facial expressions and rigid posture.

I imagine Bowmann as a kind of sinister Richard Stilgoe. I know most people find Richard Stilgoe sinister anyway, but I mean the kind of Richard Stilgoe that would just as soon slit your throat as improvise a clever ditty on the nearest keyboard.

It bristles even more when he's being emotional or "superior". His nose twitches from side to side at the same time. He likes to gesture with his hands and wears clothes with shortish long sleeves so as to accentuate his hands and their gestures.
He doesn't have an oval face like Hitler does. He has a thinner face.
