in my opinion it is the oriental game called GO
the best computer GO programs are just now defeating professional GO players
I suck worse at GO than I do at chess

An interesting aspect of Go in my experience is how clearly a difference in level of ability leads to very unforgiving outcomes. In this respect, it reminds me of games like table tennis and squash.

interesting thing about playing Go is that I would often be crushed and not even know it
at least in chess, I know when things are going horribly wrong

Yes. You think you're clinging on and doing alright, but then there's the denouement when the reality of every weak location on the board is resolved and it's like the combined fleet of the G'Gugvuntt and Vl'hurg arriving at the Earth.
