I'm not familiar with the "French Apple Pie" only the "North American Apple Pie".

You don't have a clue about french pie do you?

Come on tell the truth!

HOME MADE FRENCH APPLE PIE

20 med. granny apples
3 lb. Domino Sugar
4 sticks of butter
1/4 or 1/2 c. of milk
1 box of raisins
Cinnamon to taste
Nutmeg to taste, but not too strong!
1 sm. bottle pure vanilla extract

Peel and cut apples and place in deep pot. Add 2 to 3 cups of water but be careful not too much water since apples make their own juice. Turn gently so as to not to cause the apples to disintegrate. Turn heat to medium and cook slightly.
Enough for 5 pies.

PIE CRUST:

Flour
Cold, cold water
Pinch of salt
9 inch crust for top and bottom

Preheat oven and cook pies at 350 degrees until golden brown or desired doneness. Glaze pies with white cake frosting while still warm or prepare homemade frosting by cooking in small saucepan white powdered sugar, butter and water. Cook to desired thickness and add cornstarch for thickness. Allow to cool before serving.
