I've travelled all over Canada as a "backpacker" which is a fancy way of saying "I'm homeless"
I've got the itch to up and go again and I like to be around water so it's either the west coast/Vancouver BC or the east coast/Halifax NS.
The smart person would go west to Vancouver so I don't freeze to death. Mild winters and I've been there and it is a very pretty place.
I haven't been east of Montreal and that's why I want to go east to Halifax but I could die from the cold if they don't have emergency shelters if needed.
Has anyone been to both cities and what are the pros and cons of each?
@dork saidVery Rusty will give you a room I’m sure.

@divegeester saidLoL no.

I know he is in NS but I think in some small town.
I'm hoping he can shed some light on Halifax for me because the internet searches are vague descriptions of both cities.
@dork saidAre you going as an adventure, or as a new homeless person?

@gambrel saidLoL the first time I went to BC I hitchhiked the whole way across Canada from Toronto.
Go up to BC they said.
You'll see bigfoot they said.
It'll be fun they said.
Constant fear of bears and the unknown.
Once I got to Vancouver it was nice.
This time I'm going by train.
@dork saidLOL@ dork Toronto is in the middle of Canada! 🙂

Do you think Vancouver have no bears? 🙂
How common are bears in Vancouver?
It is estimated that there are more than 120,000 Black Bears in British Columbia and over 7000 Black Bears on Vancouver Island making it one of the more dense places in the world for this bear population.
If you think I live in a small town how would I know about Halifax. If you paid attention you would see on my Profile, Halifax, Nova Scotia! 🙂

@divegeester saidLOL@ Gooster, what makes you think I would give him a room? If he can afford internet he can afford a B&B!!! 🙂

You know a B&B for 50 bucks a month?
Nope.
There isn't even a B&B for 50 bucks a night.
@divegeester saidOh dear. Here comes the Rusty/Filo Bedo stories.
Don’t ask for a meet-up as he will probably be a bit scared.

@very-rusty saidHey VR. You sure you’re Canadian. Winnipeg is the city in the middle of Canada not Toronto.😡

@dork saidSuzi will let you have a room for free. She works with homeless folk. And Nevada is a lot warmer than Vancouver.
