edit: ... and to answer Smaug's question, I once again had a very long safety and self-defense conversation with my class on Friday because for the second time (at least) this school year someone stopped a couple of our students and wanted them to get in his car with him. I can't change adults, but I can do my best to give them fewer victims.

There was another kid missing and the mother's parenting skills were questioned when it was revealed she had all those children by five different fathers. The number of kids one has by different fathers may be irrelevant to child abandonment/neglect, priority should be finding the kid.
