@Torunn saidAustralia Is an interesting old place. It wouldn't exist like it does today if the British, no sorry, the English didn't arrive like they did. Fast forward and years later they're arguing about beaches.
I read in today's news that Trump wants to take control over Greenland and declares that he will not hesitate to take military and economical steps to get his way. What is wrong with these men? What gives them the right to do things like this, and don't they ever get enough?

White people are not designed to live in Australia, skin cancer place of the world apparently. I'd imagine that the states isn't far off.
What does this have to do with Greenland? Well, why does it belong to Denmark? It shouldn't belong to any country. But that's what has happened in in history, greedy territories invading others to take their land, their natural resources etc etc.
In Trump wants to invade Greenland no western country has the right to protest and pull the moral card, they've all done it in the past.
The reason I'm fluent in English is because the English invaded Ireland. There's an area of South America that today is in the EU because it's part of France.
More recently there was a war in Sudan and we now have South Sudan. It's nothing new and it's not going to change in the future.
@A-Unique-Nickname saidThe Greenlanders should have the right or why else are we supporting Ukraine? History should be learned from. Should we accept war just because somebody wanted it?

@Torunn saidDo you forget that Ukraine used to belong to Russia? It's human nature to fight, have wars to expand empires etc, it's not going to change. Conflict sometimes is needed, other times it's not but happens anyway. We'll never all just 'get along'.

Plus who is supporting Ukraine? If the west really wanted to support Ukraine then the war would never have begun because Russia can't fight against the entire world. They've been mostly left alone to fight for themselves.
Greenland is not a country, it was invaded by Denmark and belongs to them. If another country wants to invade them again then it's up to Denmark to protect them.
Both the Spanish and English invaded America that's why most of South America speaks Spanish and the states and Canada speak English.
If there's a war someone wanted it or it wouldn't have started.
It's not an ideal world unfortunately.

@A-Unique-Nickname saidWhat you say explains the situation, it doesn't justify it. Because wrongs have happened and still do, doesn't make them more right.

Ukraine still receives a lot of support - moneywise and weapons - huge amounts of money are being transferred to help, but I am also confused why it doesn't seem to help.
Edit: We talk about human beings, the sacrifice of human lives by the millions - how can that ever be right?
@Torunn saidCollectively humans are the biggest parasite on earth. In the end will be destroy everything, whether that's through war, feeding, clothing or providing shelter for ourselves or a combination of all the mistreatment we do it doesn't matter. We're not so smart, we think we are and that's a huge problem.

Can you justify heating your home using fossil fuels that took millions of years to make? We're all destroying the planet. It's impossible not to with around 8 billion humans the way we are.
@A-Unique-Nickname saidI agree with you and it's basically all about greed. It still doesn't justify war.

bullseye!
tis only philosophy
take or leave whatever you wish
or let it guide you to realization
Know your mind as the sky;
Allow everything to pass on through,
The clouds, the lightning, the winds,
All of it, even the blue itself.
Don’t even get caught on the blue.
See and hear whatever arises,
But don’t grasp at anything.
Don’t even get caught on the sky.
