Of course this is my favorite, and i have played in many chess clubs
online.
I was wondering about other people's opinions?
about the competition here compared to say gameknot?
or ICC(www.chessclub.com)
FIDE.com
Itsyourturn.com
Pogo.com
KasparovChess.com

as being a non member sometimes playing on other sites can pass
the time while waiting for a person to move!

and other players who have other ratings that they want to share is
this thread?

Buy a star, get a few hundred games going and pretty soon 'other
sites' will be a distant memory... 😉

But seriously, the playing interface over here is streets ahead of what
I've come across elsewhere.

Whenever you're below your limit, send one over! Good luck on
getting a pawn star. It's worth it!

I've played chess at Itsyourturn.com. It's not all that great as a chess site. They have
tournaments, which is why I played there (I'm in one now). But now that we have tournaments at
RHP, I'll probably quit playing chess there. I'll just play an occaisional game of "Battleboats" with
my girlfriend there now.

😛 ...Just thought I'd try one of these smileys out to see how I liked 'em.

1900CFC at 17 sounds pretty darn good to me.

Yes I have had occasion to visit Calgary Chess Club at the restaurant.Quite
along time ago.I used to work for United Van Lines of all things.Times I found
myself in Calgary..well,there wasn't much time for chess I'm afraid.IIRC there
were/are some coffee houses that are little chess hideouts as well in
Calgary. Also played at the Armory in Edmonchuck.

Anytime.I'll play anybody.I'll send one over 🙂 oops you're over your limit.You
can send one over after you finish crushing some Americans 😉

Huh? Who's profile are you reading? My profile here says I'm 39. I don't think I've listed my age in
my profile at itsyourturn.com.

sorry...miss type, when i was 16...and i am about to turn 18 soon!!!!😀
Thanks,
sorry for the confusion...

And Smash, thanks, thats very cool, Canadian players i find are very
underrated but we have some great talent here, even though i think
we only have two grandmasters last time i played CFC and a couple
international masters.
