Trend PC-Cillin is the best, hands down. Why? I, unfortunately, was the person who was responsible for anti-virus functions on every computer at work--19,000 PCs and servers globally (I quit the job and went somewhere else; fighting viruses burnt me out quickly.) We had all of the anti-virus companies in trying to sell us their stuff. After many lab environment builds, tests, teardowns, rebuilds, and retests, I can say that Trend is the best. We used McAffee and Symantec for a long time, but Trend is now considered by me and other IT pros to be the best. Note, however, that I am running AVG at home. 🙂 It's free and less resource-intensive, but it doesn't do as thorough of a job as the others, nor does it look for malware.

I dont understand what you mean. I got that page from a search engine for "NOD32" after seeing Nod32 on a number of computers in a number of countries.

AVG is supposedly a good anti-virus program, but you must have at least one firewall in place.

Read more about protecting your p.c. here: www.firewallguide.com
If you have broadband, the DSL or cable modem has a firewall built in.
