Soap. For those who can't remeber, it was the story of 2 sisters...
What about the ones you wish they'd bring back?

Sorry, I hate that programme so much. It was funny the first time (just about), and now they just keep using the same jokes over and over again. It really is tedious. Any original stuff which pops up in each episode is more than cancelled out by the rest of the rehashed dirge they produce.
Personally, I'm surprised noone has mentionned Blackadder yet! Red Dwarf is a good shout too. More recently, I've quite enjoyed watching family guy.

Probably depends on which country you're from - here in the UK the best ever was Monty Python, closely followed by Fawlty Towers.
The German Harald Schmidt Show (with an Entertainer and Band and really intelligent jokes).
ATM the best to see on German TV (IMHO) is a weekly soap called "Dittsche" where a German Comedian plays a man without a job who goes into the fast food parlor to get new beer and talks with the owner about daily rubbish. He has all his knowledge from the worst German Newspaper the BILD and its really funny even more as they never have a script or fixed Camera angles. Sometimes he just tries (but its useless) to withstand a laughter. Classic. German Thinking at its worst.
