What's with all the recs?

Notice anything unusual? His first post got (at the time of writing) 21 recs!!! Granted his post was funny, made good use of diction, insulted no.1marauder, and was snappy to boot, but 21 recs?!? WTF? That's unprecedented. That's like winning an Oscar for directing "Fletch".
