My border collies are mongrels; one looks crossed with a spaniel, the other with whippet.
Lovely dogs but wilful and jealous.

We have more in common than you think Lemon. We breed Golden Retrievers on our property. The happiest friendliest most gorgeous dogs you'll ever meet. Useless as watchdogs (they'd lick the thief while he broke in) and absolute pigs when it comes to food. They will also lick to death any other dog cat kangaroo echidna if fact anything that strays onto our property. Wouldn't swap them for the world.

when I would take my lab to the dog park he would stay by the entrance and greet every dog that entered
dog owners would call him the greeter

Mine too; ours liked to nap a lot and was also great with children.

By the way, we named him Rip after "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Rip Van Winkle" by Washington Irving.
