During lockdown, since I'm not going out, I've been spending money on other things. Kind of like presents to myself to make my life easier, you know the kind of thing.
So, I now have (and they're all food related since I'm cooking for up to 8 people each time) 5 new gadgets. Two prepare the food, two cooks it and one does both.

My favourite and actually one of the cheaper of the 5, is the Instapot.

Have you been buying gadgets and have you found an excellent one (that I should check out maybe?!)

You probably know Vorwerk's Thermomix? Many of our Friends own one (we don't)

My preferred Gadget is a device to create apple Chips. (Dörrapparat anyone? Dessicator? )

I think the word you are looking for is Dehydrator.

I like the Nesco Gardenmaster.

as i just snagged one of the medium sized ones to cover a pan i realized that this set of silicone lids is prolly my go-to most often used kitchen accessory
the very largest and the very smallest are the ones i rarely use

I bought a proper knife for food prep.
I went my whole life using whatever knives were in the drawer and after I bought a proper knife it has made my cooking prep so much easier and more enjoyable.
It is really sharp!
I also bought a new set of pots and pans too 🤗

Aside from cooking I gave up the weights and gym memberships and went into the rubber band world.
You can do any workout with a rubber band and they are low cost and they last forever.
Also you can take them anywhere.
They literally fit in your pocket.

Those really aren't gadgets though 🤔

I might buy an electronic cheese grater!

Be careful not to catch your fingers in the electric grater!

It would ruin the cheese with all the blood in it.

At home, hair cutting device. I know I don't have a lot of hair but man, I've saved hundreds if not thousands (of Cdn dollars) and have only spent about 80 (Cdn) dollars. That's for two of them. They don't seem to last for much more than a year.

I use clippers and have saved hundreds over the years.
A haircut here is 30 dollars plus tip for a cheap one so every time I do it myself I save 30 bucks so I can buy more cheese!

Walmart sells them for less than 20 bucks.

A microwave is pretty useful but life would be unbearable without my toaster and kettle.
