Originally posted by Bosse de NageI think the rook would be easiest and most rewarding. They don't have to move much early on except to castle and be centralized. And you only have to move in straight lines. Although they don't usually get traded off early, it must be fun in the endgame to be the dominant piece picking off the little pawns.
That would probably depend on the uniform. On the balance, probably a knight--they get knocked off pretty early in most games, so the chances of a rest would be good. Then again, perhaps a pawn would be the most restful position; especially with the regulation folding chair.

The worst job of all must be the knight's horse (front or back end). Unless it is a hobby-horse, in which case being a knight would be plain undignified.
I know some people out there would jump at the chance of playing the queen.
I think I would like to be the king. I'd have to stay until the game is over, but I could just sit on my throne, and I assume I would have servants to move the throne if necessary.
Originally posted by NordlysI'm very much afraid that instead of a throne you'd only have a more ornate folding chair--perhaps with tassels.
