"Your Intellectual Type is Visual Mathematician. This means you are gifted at spotting patterns — both in pictures and in numbers. These talents combined with your overall high intelligence make you good at understanding the big picture, which is why people trust your instincts and turn to you for direction (i wish 😞) — especially in the workplace(""😉. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results."
140
I scored 136 on a "real" IQ test a couple years back. I think it was the California short form for mental maturity...something like that. It's the test that MENSA gives in my area anyways. It got me in, but then I could never figured out why I wanted to be in in the first place...
I don't know exactly what IQ scores indicate (if anything), but my IQ does not in any way correspond with my chess rating I'm sad to report.
There is a timed IQ test here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/testthenation/iq/
But it only gives a score between 70 and 157.
Last time I did it (couple of years ago) I was shocked to get something like 110, but it reckons 100 is average, and the time controls made me panic.
By the way, you have to enter some 'BBC region' details but you can ignore that.
One thing I thought about the other IQ test, some of the questions seemed to favour americans (the anagram of a state springs to mind).
I'll do the BBC one later and post the results.
Originally posted by VargI was pretty chuffed with that exam and did fairly well, although as I recall there was a specific memory section I got 30/30 for or something like that , mainly as I knew how to memorise that type of question.

Either way, I'm always surprised when they put in nursery rhymes as part of IQ tests or other general knowlege questions. You either know the capital of Indonesia, or you don't. Correlation to IQ I don't understand.
Originally posted by D43M0Nnot really surpising at all. IQ tests give a bias factor for age which is often too high; apart from anything else the physical age of a kid is a very poor indicator for his mental maturity.
Well, I better say that a 14 year old kids outsmarted you all.
153.
I kinda surprised myself there. *Hiyuk*(Stupid redneck laughter)
I suspect from the scores mentioned that the first test posted will only give you a maximum of 140 unless you are below 18 and get an age bias to your score. Try taking the test again but saying you were born in 1976.
I did it in 4 minutes, just to make it interesting...😀
Congratulations, Mike!

<edit> Hey RC! Check out the part about my "exceptional" math skils! Wow! And all this time I have been worried because when i find an integral, i put it back into it's cage and feed it!... oh... what? ok. wait... Never Mind. Those are Gerbals, not Integrals.
