No need to feel bad, I have a ton of stories😀that led me to where I am now from childhood on. We all have a story it’s what we do with it that matters.

Just have your wife think about what daily prayers are and praying without ceasing to God is and what that would be. FMF would be in the second category between subconscious and conscious thought and prayer that goes on all the time within part of your being.
