I love broccoli. I can remember crying over the thought of eating it as a kid. Then I remembered many other things I refused to let contaminate my tastebuds when I was younger and found I absolutely love the taste of those same things now.

Not only that but things I use to enjoy as a kid have no appeal to me at all anymore. Celery makes me urge just from the smell and I use to love it filled with cheese whiz or even peanut butter smeared on top of it. ICK! Peanut butter.....

I know that taste buds change over time but heck if I can remember when that time was. It's not like today I like the taste of broccoli and tomorrow it will all of a sudden make me sick just at the sight of it. Yet at some point that's exactly what happened.

WHEN did it all happen????

I felt that way about wine and single malt scotches up until I was about 16 🙄

I even felt that way about blue cheese and oysters up until I was about 24 😕

Now, at 55, I'm beginning to like "funky" rather than sweet things. 😛 Maybe our taste buds get tired???

I've recently started enjoying a much wider range of cheeses. I used to be a hard cheese only type of guy and not the really smelly ones at that. Now I'll try pretty much any cheese (although brined Feta is too salty to me and I still can't bring myself to like Blue).

Wine I'm still not a big fan of but perhaps that's because I've never really taken the time to try a selection and find something I like.

As long as you still hate brussels sprouts 😕 I think you'll be all right.

We really need a vomit emoticon, 'cause sometimes 😕 just doesn't get it done. 😞

A little bird told me you like cheese expecially the one with the blue vein running through it.

Are you speaking of:

A) The measure of disorder and randomness in a closed system.

or

B) The inevitable and steady deterioration of a society.

?

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean about the whiskey. I used to like it til I was about 16, not I just can't stand the stuff. Two things I never liked and still don't like are baked beans and ketchup... And I used to hate peanut butter til the time I got wrecked and had it with Marmite, tahini and honey (yup, all together) on crumpets...

The tendency of a system that is left to itself to descend into chaos.

Something very tasty I just discovered:

Dip Cauliflower into eggs, then bread crumbs. Fry in oil and butter until crispy on the outside. Dip into Ranch Dressing.

Pure Heaven!!!

😵😵😵
