"In fact, your tastes will change as you get older. When you were a baby, you had taste buds, not only on your tongue, but on the sides and roof of your mouth. This means you were very sensitive to different foods. As you grew, the taste buds began to disappear from the sides and roof of your mouth, leaving taste buds mostly on your tongue. As you get older, your taste buds will become even less sensitive, so you will be more likely to eat foods that you thought were too strong as a child."

Celery is Devil food. Even a tiny bit will infect an entire meal and, possibly the next couple of meals too, leaving no choice but to throw it all away.

Every seven years.
At least, that's what I heard a long time ago.
My taste buds are still sensitive enough to dislike alcohol, chicory, coffee and some other stuff I didn't like as a child. Maybe I'll start liking them when I turn 42.
Originally posted by NordlysOddly enough I don't care much for the taste of alcohol anymore either. Last time I went out I ordered a drink and I think I was the only one to ever go back and ask for more mix. On the up side a night out only costs me about $5.oo now.

Also with each pregnancy your tastebuds go haywire too. My last pergnancy had me eating a bulk size box of cranberry crunch cereal every 2 days! I couldn't eat enough of the stuff. I'd wake up at all hours of the night just to eat a bowl of yummy goodness. Couldn't understand how my kids didn't like it.
Once I had the baby and came home I went to have a bowl and I spit the garbage out on the first bite. It was the yuckiest thing I'd ever eating.
First baby left me not drinking coffee for a couple years. Second baby brought back the coffee but turned me off of ketchup chips. There's just no rhyme or reason with tastebuds.
