I was near black belt back in days, now I am pretty weak and soft, I want to refresh my knowledge.

I searched you tube but I do not know what to search since I forgot all kata names πŸ˜›

I really do not remember. We had training held in this way : Warmup, then basic techniques or their combinations, then katas and than sparring (from blue belt upwards), after that condition and stretching exercieses.

The belts were in this order : white, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown, black.

Later they added red between orange and green and another between blue and brown.

Thanks, but unfortunately I can't really get anything from that. That's the structure of the majority of good classes and belt orders can vary from association to association. Within karate there are a few styles and some of the styles vary quite a bit from others.

Anyway, the association that I've been a member of for something like 14 years is supposed to be the largest in the UK and I've seen this book on sale in book shops around the world so I (although I'm bias) would recommend it:

As for videos there are some available through the association but last I heard they were aiming to put it all onto DVD so I can't find anywhere online to buy them. Sorry, but the books are good! πŸ˜€

Nope, it's called TISKA, perhaps it's more a trick of wording, perhaps it's the largest Shotokan karate association?

Edit: Original post removed because I can't read wiki accurately 😳
