and why should I move there?
In school, you excelled academically. a straight-A's student, you could beat everyone at chess. you were, undoubtably, a genius. your friends pushed you further though. at their bidding, you persuaded your parents to but you a computer. you learned to program. by the end of school you had mastered a half-dozen languages, and, one disaster after another, were on your way to study computing at MIT.
after graduating with a phd, you had as many friends as years you spent at university. you thesis, on 'What is meant by "the Disappearing Computer"?', was critically acclaimed and has led to an offer of a position as a research fellow at Kimberley University, Kimberley, WI.
to add salt to the wound, you wife has threatened to leave you if you go, and your parents are talking about giving your million-dollar inheritance to the rev R B Hill, a television preacher from mexico.
and it's all because you tried at school 🙁
