The Blessington Carriage in Derby has lots of good memories for me. I always try to pop in when I am back home.

If you ever happen to be in Sweden (who knows), check out the 'Irish Bar' in Stokholm, and the 'Irish Corner' in Trollhättan. You couldn't have a better time. Great live music from some of the most talented musicians I ever heard (English,Swedish,Scottish,Irish, other European). You name it, it's all there. Good English beers are a must in a foreign country - they have the lot (Guiness a prerequisite of course). But to top it all, when you're slightly tipsy, I can guarantee at the end of the evening you'll be on the floor laughing with the Swedish mispronunciations which always seem to have a second English equivalent word and , thus, double the hilarity of what they were once meaning to say. Cute, innocent, safe fun in a country free of social violence!

Southside Bar, in Princes' Gardens in South Kensington, was nice, very cheap, and as unstudenty as a student bar can be before the powers that be destroyed it.

Is all a fallacy. Sweden is no more expensive than here. You can eat out very well for a fiver! Pint of weak lager (3😵 is £1.80 and a strong one (5😵 £2.50. You can have an incian to eat in for £6, big portions too with the extras inc. And a flight to stokholm from Stanstead is £30!!!! (not trn. that's about £84 inc taxes)..... you can have a great long weekend! (and if u flaunt ur dosh - beautiful blondes are free!)
