Why isn't Bridge over river kwai offered up on first post?
I'm actually in Kanchanaburi at the moment, the place of the bridge in the river Kawi. They have a museum about the railway, very interesting. We don't learn enough about the Asian side of ww2 in European and American school.

Most people killed in the war was in China, I had no idea until I started to look into it for myself.

In fact any change would have given history a different course. But I think if Hitler had refrained from attacking the Sowjet Union (and the Balkans on the way) an invasion on the continent would have not been very likely. What really would have happend nobody can know.

Hitler is assassinated in the mid fifties, the German Empire becomes
democratic and a European Union is born!
