It's funny, but I don't remember White people in the 1980s being this impossibly lame.
Is it just me, or have media sensibilities changed? It's difficult to believe that Gavin McLeod was paid for this:
Normally when someone lip-syncs, the audio track is performed by someone who can sing. Apparently in this case they decided that believability was more important.
Edit: And yet, ironically, the true horror of the second video is revealed only to those who watch it muted...
2nd Edit: I especially like the choreography of the dance steps appearing at about 1:20 into the video...watching this with the audio off is like driving by the scene of a horrible road accident. I could never understand the behavior of those who claim that they simply can't look away, but admittedly there is something hypnotically grotesque about this video...
3rd Edit: The Busby Berkeley shot (focusing on McLeod's bald head) is especially inspired...
