The problem may be the lounge faces to the north which for you would be the direction with the least amount of sunlight and the most cold northern winds. Here's a simple fix:
Dig a trench 8 feet wide and 10 feet deep completely around the house.
Drive hoisting timbers (rated capacity 2 tons each) completely across the narrow dimension of the house, about 4 feet deep and spaced every 6 feet.
Bring in a 50 ton capacity hoist crane. To be on the safe side order an additional 10 ton counterweight.
Strap up the crane to each of the ends of the timbers.
The next 3 steps must NOT be rushed. Estimated time in parentheses.
Lift house about 6 feet off the ground. (2 days)
Turn house 180 degrees (4-5 days)
Lower house. (2 days)
Remove straps and return crane to the rental center.
Fill in the trench. Hoisting timbers can remain in place and be buried.
Replant any roses or shrubbery damaged or uprooted.
Enjoy your warmer room.

Ten degrees C in my lounge. I think I need to move house.
