Very funny show. Hustle is a good way to put it. You could also argue he is exploiting some of these people. Not that I feel sorry for them.

The character is a parody. The oxymoron is that the character is listening respectfully without prejudice to Republicans he has already judged as ignorant and racist in an attempt to "heal the divide".
