I nominate :

tejo ,

he has always been above my standard of play,
but not so long ago it was just above (1700 ish),
then he moved up a notch, then another notch, then another,

he is now only one notch behind our highest rated players ----- i think he will be number 1 soon, and for quite some time.

if he moves another notch or two beyond that then gary and vlad had better watch out!

Now that is not true. He may be good at playing correspodence chess, even I have a good chance at beating him OTB (haven't done it yet, but waiting my chance 😉)
