@Kewpie saidI don't know how well he is to delegate work, but that is a very important part of running your own business, and having dependable people you can count on. It is actually the workers that make the place, from my experience. If you have those things going for you, everything goes smoothly.
A family member owns 2. It gave him a very comfortable lifestyle but he says the work and stress load required would destroy most people. Don't know how true that is for the whole cohort.

@Very-Rusty saidI thought he was a relative of Graham Norton, must be wrong.
I use to go to it years ago when I was a much younger man. I find they tried to improve to much making it stronger and just ruined it.
Unknown to many McDonald's now uses the original bean that Tim's started out with. They are in big competition here in Canada, both doing a lot of charity stuff for kids and other organizations trying to out do each other.
All are own ...[text shortened]... ars!
I've never tasted a UK Tim's so wouldn't know. It is Tim Horton's not Nortons FYI. 😉

I was talking more about the food, went for breakfast once and it wasn't great... Egg and bacon McMuffin much better. Can't remember the coffee, probably wasn't great since I haven't went back.
@Kewpie saidBelfast city centre used to have two McDonald's without a couple of minutes walk from each other, own by different people. They were both always busy, popped in the odd time during a lunch break to one of them and it was constantly queued. The other one got the drunks at night but this one had the day trade, then one day it just closed. Family issues with the owner. I'd say he's probably right. Turn over of staff is high, quality of food needs to be the same as all other McDonald's. Not easy.

What riles me about our Tim’s, here in town, is that no matter the time of day, the folks going through the drive through always get priority. So when I hanker for a muffin or the like I go to the competition a family run little joint just outside town and get served in a timely manner. Oh and their fair is much better than that of Tim’s albeit a wee bit more expensive but I guess it’s, “ you get what you pay for”.👍
@Great-Big-Stees saidSame here Stee's whether it is McDonald's or Tim's Drive through seem to have priority over the people who actually go in to get their Drinks and or food for what ever reason. Perhaps they can put more cars through than serve people who come in??? I find that odd too, but I know there is a reasoning for it. Even then people going through the Drive through have to come in because they got their order wrong.

The statement "Tim Apple owned mickey D's" is not entirely accurate. Tim Cook is the CEO of Apple, not Tim Apple. While Tim Cook has a significant net worth, it's not tied to McDonald's (often referred to as "mickey D's"😉. Additionally, Apple does not own any shares in McDonald's.

@Very-Rusty saidI was being sarcastic. Remember want the orange foll called Tim Cook Tim apple?
