who the hell is this?

OK all you clever types - anyone know who this is? I don't think it's from Tron - not shiny enough (I could be wrong of course). Can't think for the life of me....

aaargh, I recognise him from the deep dark depths of my childhood. He's from a bad TV series, solving crimes and beating up bad guys with his human (cop?) partner. He was some sort of hologram or computer generated representation that came in and out of a the 'intelegent' computer. Drove a car that would go through traffic by changing from driving forwards to 90 degrees sideways and back to forwards again with no inertia or turning. Can't remember any more though...

Correct. I knew I had seen them, the series was broadcasted here in
Sweden in the 80's, but I couldn't remember the name 'til you just posted
it. 🙂
