Now that was crap. The worst thing about Australian TV shows are the theme tunes: even now I am humming the theme tune of "Sons and Daughters".

etc ad nauseam.

Australian film output is excellent.

Thank god the rest of the world didnt get "All Together Now", or "Hey Dad" or Bert Newton.

I agree, alot of Aussie Films are quite good. The Proposition was awesome. Nick Cave wrote a damn good script.

As an Aussie I'm glad to say that I have never watched an episode of Neighbours.

I think the trashiest soap on at the moment would have to be The Bold and the Beautiful.

I think I'll just change my name to Ridge and see how my life turns out.

I have had to change my nomination on the trashiest soap, there is one called Passions which has an evil posessed doll called Timmy who can turn into a real boy.

i remember my friends nanna watched those american soaps, and thought it was actually happened in real life. she and many others just end up becoming puppets to those who make those soaps. her life revolved around it. i imagine this seems silly to some who watch programmes like this to little effect, but to some it does take their lives away.

if you want to play god and take control over weak peoples lives, this would be a good place to begin.
