Who's paying subscriptions

Didn't someone pay Bowmann's? Is that why he left, because being a non-sub with 1500 recs was something to be? But being a sub... well, it just didn't sound the same?

A few subscrips here and there is not odd. I seem to remember SCHACHFRUEND at GK that spent 3-4 THOUSAND on subscriptions for members! Now that is a cash outlay to be remembered~~
