1) Only three downs, and as a result, more passing plays and less time spent playing field position.
2) Bigger field and endzone allows for more movement by the wide receivers and more exciting plays.
3) Playoff OT rules. Nothing is worse than when a game is decided on a freakin' coin toss.
4) No primadonnas. These guys make pennies compared to star NFL players and as such there are next to no spotlight hogs, loudmouths, etc.
The cons:
1) Fewer teams and league structure.
2) Poor television coverage. (American Football has HD, super graphics, celebrity commentators, etc.)
3) Small market.
As you can plainly see, the disadvantages with respect to Canadian Football are all peripheral to the game itself which is superior in many aspects to its counterpart, the NFL.

Originally posted by darvlayThe best part is they get to use those sticks, and play on ice. It's wild! The field doesn't look that much bigger... strange.

Originally posted by darvlaySeriously Darv, one week without the NFL and you come out with this. I miss it too, but i m not going to stoop so low as to watch the CFL. College football is better, even most high school games are better. I think I would rather watch figure skating. And to make things worse, they don't have Doug Flutie anymore, the Babe Ruth of the CFL 😛
Is anyone intelligent gonna argue my points or are you just gonna bleat on like the bunch of sheep you are?
