I've made a very sad blunder !
I got involved in the 'forums'.
Well, if you can trigger predictable behaviour by just saying the words 'burn' 'american' 'flag' in any random order,
then it s rather a skinner box not the core of a community.
I like to play my games in a more human setting.
My doctor seemed to agree somehow, he adviced me either to leave redhotpawn or to cut down on cholesterol.
I still have mixed feelings about Iraq but i believe i have at least the right to protect my own heart against american attacks π
Sorry for resigning a lot of good games.
I feel guilty ... should eat more organic food.
Good Luck to you all.
I am returning to the good old world.

Someone needs to remind someone that in a democratic society, one can air their opinions without fear of what may happen to them.
Sounds like you need Lipator and Zetia...
I'm just saying that RHP forums you will get feedback... in real life you might get more....
Everyone's got opinions and feelings.... in the forums or real life. You might get bad feedback in the forums on an opinion... in real life you need to look someone in the eye when you say what you want to say.
That's all.
As for me, being an American... I find there are lots of things here at RHP I wouldn't say. Turns out what I said is another thing I guess I shouldn't have said at all... I didn't expect the feedback I already got.
P-
Edit! Neither post was written with anger... just wanted to clear that up!
I personaly try not to let my feelings in the forums get involved with chess. If people are badgering in games I think that is not so good. I have not had the experience of playing someone that every time I opened up the game, has carried any issue from the forums.
I think that it should be a matter of honor to not argue and jab about issues from the forum during a game.
Let keep the forums in the forums.
I am here to play chess, and the forums are just a past time between games for me. I have been just as "not nice" as others in the forums, and I have left a bad taste in some peoples mouths. I wish I could take that back.

Ivanhoe: "What kind of policy would have been the correct policy for the US/UK to choose after the decision of the Security Council member France to block any solution now AND in the future that would put Saddam under military pressure ? " Ivanhoe
What would be the aim/goal of the policy you would choose for the US/UK ? " Ivanhoe
I was looking forward to an answer to these questions, especially after you mentioned following the Middle East situation and politics for more than twenty years ....
Well Nohup, I understand your health is more important. I wish you a lot of health in the years to come.

He posted this statement in one of his posts in the "Gadhaffi giving up his WMD" thread:
"In a good discussion there should be room for imagination, intuition, drama, irony, satire, emotion ... "
It even becomes more puzzling ... I guess he wanted to join the debates but his health just couln't cope ... that can happen to all of us.
