why do people get banned

hi, i have been following the games of others, and noticed that one or two are now banned, why is this the case? have they been using abusive language to other players, computer chess engines to help them (how they think this can help i never know). Please this is said in earnest, if anyone can enlighten me then please do - regards Robbie carrobie, pistols at dawn, for the honor of Scotland!😲

hi its all very legalistic, obviously if someone is abusive thats a direct violation and immediately deserves censure, however, what i am trying to say is how can you tell for example that someone is using software or a chess endgame data base or consulting a third party? thanks for taking the time - regards robert.

players get banned for being themselves when they are ugly, discuss trashy
subjects and generally forget that chess is intended to be a game of the mind rather than a game to take drugs over or discuss their hormonal needs.
