why do people take on a game and they not move?
is it possible to play a fast game on this site?
This site is for correspondence play.
You can play a one day game here... but that means each person gets 24 hours to move.

Originally posted by eamondoSorry , but it's one of the real down sides to not being a subscriber. - Most subscribers won't play you because they are afraid of the same thing happening to them , namely picking up lots of games with people who may or may not be here in a couple of weeks. If you have a star , chances are better that members(who tend to finish their games) will play you because they see that you've joined(which implies you'll be around to finish your end of the deal).

Funny thing is, I find non-subs move more quickly than subs.....probably cause they have less games to concentrate on.
As a non sub meself, I have never been timed out on a game though several of my opponents have. Some people sign up on the site, start a few games and then vanish, which gives a bad name to all non subs. [fairly or not]
Originally posted by Dr StrangeloveI just subscribed and magically transformed from a shifty unreliable non-sub into a bright-eyed boy scout with every good characteristic imaginable. I also find I no longer have green eyes, pointy teeth or horns. well, I still got two horns, but they're very small. I no longer post off topic nor start pointless threads, nor do I create any kind of bodily waste. it's amazing what you get with 26 euros nowadays!

Pointer: Create open invites with 1/NA timing, call game "FastPlay" or something similar, I have better luck with subscribers, so prefer to also state "subscriber only", and if opponent fails to move 1st, 2nd, or 3rd move within a half hour or so I usually delete the game. May be poorish etiquette, but I want a fast game when I specify it.
Originally posted by eamondoWhat do you consider a fast game? Your profile says you only move every few days, which would drive me nuts because for me that's a slow game. I think it's pretty easy to find people to play who only move that often.
