Are you allowed to pretend you're a woman in BWA?

Or are you only allowed to pretend you are black?

Can you pretend to be a black woman?

Or are you only allowed to pretend one thing at a time?

By the logic you are using here, my pretending to be a woman on these forums when I'm not in real life would constitute some sort of wrong (as determined by Phlab, of course).
If you pretend to be a woman, post about stupid crap like cooking barefoot in the kitchen and how you feel women were put on earth to serve men... I would know you were not a woman, and let you know.

While pretending to be a woman might strike some as weird, it would not in my mind be cause for alarm all by itself.

However, if you pretended to be a woman for a nefarious purpose, (such as luring young boys for immoral purposes), then that would be wrong and a cause for alarm.

Here, the situation isn't that Kirksey wants to pretend to be black, but that the caricature of a black person he has created is offensive, particularly when he uses that caricature to spout racial slurs.

But there are women that believe all those things.

That doesn't fit with your previous definition. Being black is about the culture or the melanin?

I'm not aware of any rules in BWA about any of those things.

If they do, they probably are not online posting about it at a chess site. They are living it.

Look, for some history.... this feeling of mine goes back to a user who joined just before the 3a) rulings of ONE NAME/ONE PERSON.

This user played a beaten and suicidal woman. Made friends with several users. Those users, self included shared stories of their own. Real stories.

Frankly, I don't like false advertising. RHP picked a side on this situation. Don't BS.

If you want BS, go to a Yahoo chat and you can make up every fantasy you desire. You can stay here and never say who or what you are, that is fine also. But when you say you are one thing and people share who they really are that's wrong in my mind.

Being black by definition can only refer to skin color. The cultures that are most closely associated with black people can be engaged in by anyone of any color. Based on the culture Kirk seems to be attempting to emulate most people assumed he is black, and in these forums he is. What he is outside of these forums, and what culture he participates in is not something I care to know.

Nobody assumes he's black based on his emulations. They assume he's black because he says so explicitly.
