Putting words into my mouth again. I was calling people who are in favour of the war bastards. Sigh.
And I am in favor of the war. obviously, this war was started because politicians had to protect their oil interests. But if the western world never intervened, we WOULD be bastards! bastards for letting human rights being continually destroyed. Are you at all aware of the improvement of women's rights in Iraq since we invaded? obviously, women are still not near on the level of freedom that women in America, Britain, Canada, etc. enjoy. but it IS a start! No longer can men arbitrarily beat women in the streets for accidentally showing a little skin. and a little skin to them is flashing a wrist, nothing like the provovactiveness that is all over the Western World.
I forget who it is, but I am anticipating a "aww, come on. you don't really expect us to read all of that" from somebody, so I'll go on and tell that person to get stuffed, and read it... they just might learn something.
