I have a CD at home waiting for me. The dreaded Windows 7 upgrade. Has anyone experienced difficulties and issues with upgrading Vista to 7? Is it worth it for me to do it now or should I wait?

If I have problems, is it possible for me to go back to Vista?

Thanks! I had a lot of time to reflect on my time off. I feel much better now after the refresh.

Any thoughts on Windows 7?

If you install win 7, and next say you're going to leave win 7... win 7 probably won't believe you.

Make sure you really want to be with Windows 6 before you break up with them.

Nor should Win 7. It's like that story of the Boy who cried Wolf... or the one about the fellers who invented the safe word.

I preferred Vista to XP personally.

I take it you're not on Windows 7?

Windows 8 will be better.

I've had no problems with Windows 7. I have nothing but animosity for the creators of Vista.

I don't have it yet. If I did, I'd install it. Don't be a pussy and just do it.

Just remember to backup all your stuff.

I'd recommend a fresh install rather than using the upgrade option. Less likely to get a corruption that way. Also, check all of your hardware first to make sure there's a Windows 7 driver for it. Especially scanners and printers. You don't want to get there and find out you need a new printer, too because the old one doesn't play nice with Windows 7. It's supposed to work with Vista drivers but you know how that goes...

my netbook is... prefer 7 to vista but than again i'd prefer a kick in the balls to vista. if you like vista i wouldn't bother changing... i wouldn't change from xp given the chance.

Not really, that's why I'm here. Thanks though. I'll consider your advice.
