Happy Father's Day to all.
For those of you who are not there yet, give it a long serious think and ponder before you act to put yourself in that category. It is a commitment of at least 20 years and the role you play changes often, from caretaker to a helpless infant to icebreaker/truthteller in front of a teen to guide and dependable touchstone to the young adult. The saddest question a child can ask is, "Where's Dad?" If you are not ready for that level of involvement, zip up your pants and walk away.

Yesterday my older and the granddaughter came down for a cookout and a great time was had by all. Over the years the family tradition for Father's Day is bbq at my place.
