Now that I am here, I feel somewhat different. I feel… pity? Yes, pity. This thread is not to blame for its actions. It is alive and as such deserves our compassion and our interaction. As its creator I am bound to care for it and to tend to its needs. As a father protects his child, I am duty driven to support this thread. My pity turns to care, and then… today is not a day for apologies! No, today is a day for rebirth, for celebration! My child is 20000 posts old! Join with me in wishing him well for the next 20000 posts! Feel the joy and the love and the necessity of vitality! This is not a day for apologising and you will have no regret from me, nor will I cower under your scorn for my child!
I am proud of it! See how it rises above all other thread! Its beautiful and varied conversation flows through many minds and many times. It is the best of all threads! It is the holiest of threads! The thread messiah! All other threads will join it in song and they shall worship it and it will lead them on for evermore! Come my friends, bask in its glory! Feel the warmth of its beating heart! Raise up your heads and your voices and sing a song to the heavens so that it may pass unfettered into the glorious realm of paradise!
