How the hell do you get cream cheese from a quark? (No smart comments about feeding the quark grass and then milking it, separating the whey etc etc etc OK?)

"Quark" is the German word for a milk product which doesn't really seem to have a proper English name. My dictionary says "curd cheese", I have also heard it called "white cheese". In Norwegian it's "kesam" (when I moved to Norway, it was impossible to get, but now they have it in every supermarket).

Don't think I've seen it in the shops but then I don't think I've been looking. Cream cheese sounds about right, particularly if it is the kind of thing you might make cheesecake with.
