Food for the garden

(as you fly the Australian flag you may need to go to the other side of the world)

●e●●ie

It's supposed to be my turn to set one, but I'm happy to have a guess or two:
Beanie, Mealie, Veggie all fit the clues. Veggie isn't even a real word yet.

Sorry; my mistake

Kew - gardens (London, the other side of the world)

food - pie

I thought I was being clever, but won't post here again and spoil your thread

@Plater
It was clever.
However names haven't been in the scope yet
And I think you should stay in the thread.

Kewpie did specifically ask you to set a few riddles.

Did I ? Sorry, my bad. I plead my 80 years of bossiness, it's a hard habit to break.

You're welcome to have a go anytime, I don't own the thread. I'll try the old method:
I don't own this thread.

VEGETABLE. 🙂
I love salad things. A typical summer here has lettuce, celery, cucumber, 3 colours of capsicum, tomato, mushroom, radish, pickled onion, gherkin, beans, pineapple. Plus some protein and maybe a little pasta. And oil/vinegar dressing. Takes an hour to eat even if you're not talking.
