Do it.

Working is a bit easier in South America, because Spanish is fairly easy to learn (with classes when you arrive). Asia would be a problem, unless you got a job in a beach bar or something.

You don't need to sort it out before you go, just make sure you have some money, and a return ticket.

You probably won't regret going if you do.

Good idea. Same here. If you're an English speaker, you should be able to find work relatively easily. I don't know if you would consider teaching but there is a great demand for teachers of English with T.E.F.L (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) abroad.
