For my money,it's got to be John Wayne as Genghis Khan in The Conquerers. A close 2nd: Tony Curtis as an English knight in Black Shield of Falworth(yondah lies da castle of my faddah!)😕

Kevin Costner as Robin Hood!

Now here is one that didn't make it!

Imagine Burt Reynolds as Han Solo in Star Wars, rather than Harison Ford!? That is what I hear the original casting idea was.

Where did you hear that Phla? According to George Lucas he only wanted unknown actors for Star Wars. That would most certainly rule out Burt Renyolds and should have ruled out Harrison Ford since he was in The 1974 film "The Conversation" that starred Gene Hackman.

Here is what I found about it on the net:

I did a search for:

"burt reynolds as Han Solo"

and found the following info from:

http://web.realitytvworld.com/findthemole.com/celeb_ep3.shtml

-Frederique knows her Star Wars trivia well. Burt Reynolds as Han Solo? Weird... Only the Dutch would know something like that. She passes her pepper, which could range from HOT to REAL HOT, to Corbin. Wow, Corbin's the big Kahuna now!

--------------------------------------------------

That was from Celebrity Mole.. I did see that episode so perhaps that is where I heard it.

I can't find it anywhere for real on the net, but what do you search for to find it?!

'Russell, Kurt' , Nick Nolte, and Christopher Walken were all candidates for the role of Han Solo as George Lucas wanted to stay away from any actors he had previously used in his films. Harrison Ford (who had played Bob Falfa in Lucas' American Graffiti (1973)) read the part of Hans Solo for screen tests of other characters but wasn't originally considered for the part. During these tests Lucas realized Harrison Ford was perfect for the role.

No mention of Burt Reynolds though. I did a google for Star Wars trivia and came up with this P

I heard an interview with George Lucas regarding why he has so far refused to release the first three Star Wars films on DVD.

I knew about Walken but didn't know about Nolte (thank god he didn't use him). That is true that he didn't want actors he previously used but according to his own admission wanted "unknown" actors and actresses.
He missed the mark by a wide margin with Harrison Ford since he was a co-star in The Conversation and also had another role previous to that.

haven't you seen any movies with Steven Seagull, jean-Claude van Damme or Chuck Norris in them? I'm not a Willis fan, but i thought he was good in Pulp Fiction, and ok in The Fifth Element...

I don't mind Bruce Willis, I liked him in Unbreakable and Sixth Sense... but again... I've got little taste.
