If the technology were available and reliable enough, would you go all the way to become a machine?
One day we will be able to shed these chemical bodies and move straight into a brand new electronic one, with all the good bits attached.
Google projected onto the back of your eye, with voice recognition software as standard.
Its not if, but when.

Nope. I'm not into being around forever. Even though I'm in no hurry, I like that I have an expiration date.

Without death, there is no direction to life.

Me too (I mean I like that I have an expiration date, I don't care whether you do). According to some guy in the Spirituality Forum (I forgot who), that makes us weirdos. Of course I am a weirdo for many other reasons, so that's nothing new.

There's the direction that your death is in, and there's the direction that your birth was in.

Topologically, the line between the two points is equivalent to a straight one. The direction is that death is in and the one that birth is in is the same.

Besides, all of your past is condensed on the point you're in. The only meaningful direction is the one towards death.

That's what I would have thought, so how is there no direction with death?

Yes. I would. I would be able to live as long as I WANTED to live. I would be able to chose my own time to part this world.

Seriously...when you are ready to go, you are ready...would not be hard at all.
