Would you take a trip into Earth orbit?

General

I’ve been chatting with a member here about various holidaying and this thought came to me; who here would take a trip into Earth’s orbit? Let’s put aside politics and focus only on the current available rocket technologies and their associated safety.

It’s free for you; would you go?

Absolutely not!

Antigrav engines (that don't cook the passengers) are what I am waiting for.

We’re only talking about Earth orbit here; you wouldn’t go?

And I'd pay for your ticket. 😀

Correct. Maybe I was spoiled by Star Trek as a kid. Rocket ships are so primitive.

But maybe someday soon I will be killed by exploding SpaceX debris and it won't matter any more.

Plus, to increase the contrast between "oh, what a beautiful planet" and "what the hell is wrong with these people" might completely do me in psychologically.

I'd go in 10 years perhaps. (When safety was a tad more certain).

Or Musk.

The flight time would be over extended with him.

Meh. Not bad.

Now if we had space elevators that had been working without incident for a few years, I might consider riding up on one of those.
