Some users who recced me mailed me as well to send their support and told me that they didn't post on the forums ...[text shortened]... oum stop you using it..
Rec your support 🙂 120 recs and counting , 133 recs so far 🙂
Have you seen that vigilante man?
Have you seen that vigilante man?
Have you seen that vigilante man?
I been hearin' his name all over the land.
Well, what is a vigilante man?
Tell me, what is a vigilante man?
Has he got a gun and a club in his hand?
Is that is a vigilante man?
Rainy night down in the engine house,
Sleepin' just as still as a mouse,
Man come along an' he chased us out in the rain.
Was that a vigilante man?
Stormy days we passed the time away,
Sleepin' in some good warm place.
Man come along an' we give him a little race.
Was that a vigilante man?
Preacher Casey was just a workin' man,
And he said, "Unite all you working men."
Killed him in the river some strange man.
Was that a vigilante man?
Oh, why does a vigilante man,
Why does a vigilante man
Carry that sawed-off shot-gun in his hand?
Would he shoot his brother and sister down?
I rambled 'round from town to town,
I rambled 'round from town to town,
And they herded us around like a wild herd of cattle.
Was that the vigilante men?
Have you seen that vigilante man?
Have you seen that vigilante man?
I've heard his name all over this land.

By being nice is this not a form of verbal abuse to those who do not like niceties?
Or do you consider your form of bullying acceptable because it is done in a nice way?
At the end of the day there is plenty of room in the forums for allsorts. If you do not agree with people using profanities, which is as common as peeing and shitting, then just ignore them - by responding you let them know they are getting to you which keeps the matter going.
There is also an alert moderator button which allows users to notify those "with the power" to take action. Use that if you are really upset.
Have you ever wondered just how many recs were given to you by the so called abusers just to keep you excited about the volume you were receiving which kept you interested in the thread and also in the foums?
Have you ever wondered why so many people who claim not to use the forums were around to rec your thread? Maybe they are happy to read the forums but do not feel the need to post.
The forums are just a wee distraction from the main aim of the site which is to promote chess.

And;
as other people have already mentioned, there were only three people reccing all his multiple posts - over fifty posts himself in that thread, specifically fishing for recs.
Well that's 136recs in total , amazing!!
As for the cynics, this is not about recs the recs are merely symbolic of forum users being fed up with the verbal bullies. yes if you're thick skinned you can handle them but if you're not or your sick and tired of threads being spoilt by them, then this is a just and noble cause.
keep the recs coming, say no to verbal abuse 🙂
