Are you a mate drinker?

Well, if you do, it could be nice to listen to your personal recipes
or style. Particularly, after some time of drinking mate, I had it today
with milk for the first time, since a friend from Uruguay recommended
it and... wow! not bad! 😀

Straight... Just off the boil 😉 No milk, no lemon, no sugar. 😀 Usually hot, sometimes cold, iced in the summer 😵

I did drink a mate but it was at university; a time of experimentation; I was young and heady: ah those halcyon days.

First the bullfighting thing now this. Oh damn, mate, you are quite bitter lately, uh 😉

Are you kidding? Mämmi was one of the 1st things I tried. You name
it, I've done it (here I mean)... I liked it, funnily, but my favorite one
remains a weird concoction not even many locals like: kaalipirakkas
covered with lingonberry bitter sauce 😵

Edit. Some "friends" did it thinking they were going to have a good
laugh with me, and it ended being a delicious experience for me, lol

I drink mate, but up to now just plain. I may try it with milk next time. I presume you need to brew your mate strong if you take milk with it?

Well, first I tried it after two infusions were already poured in and it
tasted mild and... well... 'watery', but I felt there was something there,
so I threw the used yerba, washed the calabaza (pot?) very well,
and poured in fresh yerba, then some fresh milk, and then the
boiling water... and my goodness... delicious.

The problem was that the second infusion was not as rich... so I
presume you should really try to make it very strong, so it
compensates the 'cut'.

The pal from Uruguay also recommended me to try it out with some rum 😀

Yeah, I bet he did... Mind you, assam tea, honey, and cognac isn't a bad combination, especially when you have a flu.

Oh, I get hot lemonade with tequila for that! 😉
