So along time ago an eye doctor says...
It's a good thing your left eye is so good cause your right eye is off the charts.
So I buy the prescription glasses and I can see great.
Even without glasses I can see great but if I close my left eye it's a mess.
So I meet a chick who is very smart.
One of those stay at home moms who went to university at 30 years old and was a ...[text shortened]... m. In ten years I've spent 50 bucks on glasses.
Just bought a new set due to breakage.
Try it out.
Remember when I bought you that cheese grater.
You said it was the worst book you ever read.

@The-Gravedigger

Apparently I'm too drunk to understand your comment.
I'll check again tomorrow.

@Patzering
A "genius" would not say eye glasses are basically "different levels of magnification".
Neither would anyone with any education.
Simple high-school optics would tell you that.

If you get long-sighted through ageing then sure ... a pair of
cheap reading glasses from the pharmacy will do.

But they will not have anything for short-sightedness nor astigmatism.

And you don't need both eyes corrected.
I have been short-sighted since early teens then in late 40s long-sighted as well!
Tried bi-focals but couldnt manage.
Finally had my eyes lasered; one for reading, one for distance, works fine!
(Although I have an "intermediate" pair of glasses for playing bridge! )

Well she was an "evil genius" so you may be right but it worked for me.
My right eye isn't even on the chart, so I don't think that is a minor eye problem.

My husband has had severe astigmatism and short-sightedness since birth, and needs prescription glasses or he's unable to function.
I have since my 60s needed assistance with reading, and the cheap chemist variety is OK for me. I still need to visit the opthalmologist for other reasons such as macula and pterygium checks, but that's a free service here.

I'm sure there are many others who fall between the two. Horses for courses.

Different levels of MAGNIFICATION? That may be true for far sighted who need glasses to read up close but I guess you never heard of myopia, the opposite. It has in fact helped me in my techie career, I see perfectly at about 1 foot from my fact but ten feet away my vision sucks. So in that case, the glasses are DEmagnified, that is, they are thinner in the middle then the edges. That is the total opposite of magnification.
I wish there WERE demag glasses, MINUS diopter numbers instead of the plus 1.5, 2.0, 2.75 and the like. THOSE glasses ARE magnifying but my eyes need the opposite. For me it meant I can see stuff basically magnified when close to my eyes but need glasses just to read this fukking monitor at two feet away.

You're only as relevant as your current account.

I don't think that is true in all cases, ones past does follow them.

Just ask anyone who has a criminal record!

Of course I understand you are talking about the internet world.
