You ever notice food; you ever notice food not only for what it portrays itself or seems to be but in terms of the many outstanding possibilities of what it can become; ever notice the geometric magicallity of food (not in merely microwaving frozen boxes of chemical goop or assembling same ole safe ingredients from some paint by the numbers receipe or trotting out like P's Flagpole Dog to some favorite restaurant at the least onset of the hongries but rather) in the ultimate result of informed and savvy food preparation by a patient person who knows his/her way around the kitchen, doing so with nimble economy and care; ever notice how many ordinary dishes as well as classic culinary delights actually improve from booking space in our refrigerators overnight, prior to being finalized and served; ever notice our collective failure to even wonder about the nocturnal incorporation of nuanced flavors that takes place during the silent conversations, serendipitous friendships, maturing romances, marinated intimacies, natural exchanges of food chain fluids, magnetic exclusivities, exquisite synergy and rapport expressed within this invisible community of atomic particles... simply doing their thing for our benefit while we're fast asleep in the cradle of some sleepy pillow or stupor?

You ever notice how entertaining radio still is... especially NPR on weekends and on some weekdays late at night?
